Question about 2002 Toyota Corolla
When you press in the A/C button and turn on the fan, the A/C usually turns on and blows cold for a short period, then light starts flashing, and A/C doesn't work, compressor is off and it never corrects itself until you turn off button and restart. Even then, it usually doesn't work. We evacuated system to vaccum and refilled freon. It still doesn't work.
The second opinion is a great idea.A weak cap. could do this, as well bad contactors, a loose connection, many possibilities. Most home owners wouldn't know what the pressure should be.and that is not their fault. You would need gages and know how on super heat.Usually a bad unit will not run at all, locked up.Or it will run showing little or no pressure, bad valve. Some of these guys don't know what their doing and others know exact whats going on and want to pull your leg. Most are good honest people I always suggest you call a company you know is good.
