Question about 1999 Chevrolet Suburban
I purchased a vehicle harness w/20 amp breaker to install on my suburban so that it would operate a wheelchair lift. After looking under the rear of the suburban, there looks to be an electrical connection with the same connector. Pg 4-58 in Owners manual states there is an eight-wire harness stored under the rear end of the vehicle. I need more details to make sure I make the proper installation. The part number of the vehicle harness kit is P/N ALA180 utilized for lifts. Please advise.
More than likely your looking at the towing package for wiring a hitch to your vehicle for towing a trailer. Probably can use some of that, but I'm sure if you stopped in at a GM dealer and explained what your trying to do, they'd have someone look & confirm for you that it's o.k. or not to use that harness, without a big service charge.
