Wheelchair lift electrical connection installation on 1999 K1500 Suburban?

I purchased a vehicle harness w/20 amp breaker to install on my suburban so that it would operate a wheelchair lift. After looking under the rear of the suburban, there looks to be an electrical connection with the same connector. Pg 4-58 in Owners manual states there is an eight-wire harness stored under the rear end of the vehicle. I need more details to make sure I make the proper installation. The part number of the vehicle harness kit is P/N ALA180 utilized for lifts. Please advise.

More than likely your looking at the towing package for wiring a hitch to your vehicle for towing a trailer. Probably can use some of that, but I'm sure if you stopped in at a GM dealer and explained what your trying to do, they'd have someone look & confirm for you that it's o.k. or not to use that harness, without a big service charge.

How do you install an electronic trailer brake controller in a 1995 GMC Suburban 1500?

a brake controller has 4 wires on it, Black, white, blue, red.

Black is positive battery 12 volts connect to 30 amp circuit breaker to the battery

White goes to good solid ground

red connects to white wire from the brake switch

blue wire connects to 7 way trailer connector at rear of truck. If the truck has trailer package you will find the blue wire and red wires under brake booster taped to the harness you can connect your blue brake control wire to that blue wire. At the rear of the truck the other end of the blue wire will be taped to a harness under the rear of the truck. you will have to now connect the blue wire to the blue input on your 7 way connector

How do you hook up trailer lights on my 1999 gmc 4x4 Suburban

If your only going with a flat 4 connector, you will have a connection behind rear bumper area that you can buy an adapter to put between the connectors & flat 4 will connect from there, otherwise you can splice into your light harness in back of cargo area, behind panel in the corner. That's all provided your only going with a flat 4. If you need more info, just let me know.

Mounting third row seat in 2008 Suburban 1FL, LS 1500 - Fleet veh

I drive a 2008 Suburban LT and my company has a true work "fleet" suburban. The only difference between these two that I have is the back of the fleet vehicle has a thick rubber mat in the back with no seats. After removing the black mat I found that the channels and rods that the rear seats clip into are present. The third row seats are installed by clipping them in no bolts or tools are required.

Rear door speakers don't work w/ aftermarket radio in 94 suburban

You need to attach the blue wire on the stereo harness to the blue and white wire on the car adapter harness. they installed a small amplifier to power the rear door speakers and unless you connect those two wires then the speakers will not work.

Wheelchair lift causing starter to fail?

Sorry to hear about your problem. You didn't say what kind of wheelchair van lift it was, so I'll be general. If you had it installed at a certified mobility dealer, they should be able to fix this with technical support from the original lift manufacturer. It's probably a Braun, Ricon or Bruno lift. I don't know where you live, but you can go the NMEDA.org web site and select Find a QAP Dealer (Quality Assurance Program). NMEDA is the National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association. You can put in your zip code and and they will provide you with anyone close to your area. You can also try going to www.mobilityworks.com. They have service technicians at 13 locations and can also put you in touch with a trusted dealer if you are out of their area. Hope that helps!
