96 explorer falls on its face under a strain but reves fine in park

Check your fuel pressure it should be 35-45 psi with the key on engine off.Sounds like you might have a weak fuel pump or a bad fuel filter.

88 dodge shadow idles very ruff. pedal to floor to start.

i have an 88 dodge shadow turbo with a five speed. the car will fall on its face at 5500rpm coming out of first gear. and its rpm range gets lover with each gear. the fuel pressure rises when it fall on its face. the car never dies just falls then picks back up and will fall again unless you keep it under the that rpm. then it is fine. what could be the problem?

Rough idle

a cheap and easy thing to try is to clean the carbs. get some carb cleaner and run through your next tank of gas. Also a batch of bad gas can cause the problem too.

1999 Gmc Sierra has no power

Sounds like the fuel supply is inadequate. Check for a plugged fuel filter, or possibly the fuel pump is losing pressure. I had a 93 Chevy V6 that acted the same way, and after checking everything else I replaced the fuel pump, which solved the problem.
