Your 3.3 or 3.5 V-6 came with the green original antifreeze...however all of my experiences recommend the new "Good for All Makes and Models" replacement antifreeze. It is designed to perform longer...:) Be sure to monitor your level for a couple of days...this system is vented by the overflow, and sometimes moves air around...this is common, just top off as necessary:)

How do I flush water out and add antifreeze to my 2001 dodge intrepid

Technically speaking, the cooling system uses a 50-50 mix of coolant and water. You can buy coolant already mixed, or full strength.
There are hydrometers that you can buy to test the condition of the coolant. I would suggest draining the radiator and refilling with full strength, then test it. You would still have some water in the block and heater core to mix with the new coolant.

Radiator has a blockage, it can be removed and taken to a shop to be cleaned out, or a new one can be found on line for a little less than $100.

1995 toyota 4runner where do you put antifreeze in the radiator or the expansion tank

If coolant mix below 50% and room in tank for antifreeze, pour neat antifreeze in tank.

Run for a while and check antifreeze strength. Parts stores sell a little eye dropper with plastic colored beads to test coolant.

WHAT KIND OF ENGINE COOLANT SHOULD I USE?

How to Buy the Right Type of Engine Coolant
I want to do this! What's This?

If you have ever bought engine coolant, you know that there are many brand choices on the shelves. Although mixing brands generally doesn't create problems, you may want to consider a few factors before deciding what type of coolant to buy. Read on to learn how to buy the right type of engine coolant.
Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions

  1. Use ethylene glycol base anti-freeze. It's used in the majority of cars. This is a 50/50 mixture of water and ethylene glycol; it also contains corrosion chemicals. The corrosion inhibitors are the main difference between most coolant brands. Since systems contain various metals, it might be better to go with the brand recommended by your car's manufacturer.
  2. Look for phosphate-free antifreeze if you drive a European car and it requires this type of coolant. Adding coolant containing phosphates may cause deposits to form in the cooling system. Make sure you follow the manual's directions.
  3. Consider using recycled antifreeze. One way to do this is to attach a machine directly to the vehicle's cooling system to recycle the coolant. Another option is to recycle the coolant at a recycling plant or on-site. Recycling involves the following procedures: vacuum distillation, filtration, reverse osmosis and ion exchange.
  4. Visit your auto parts store if you're unsure as to what type of coolant to buy or use.

What coolant go in 1995 cadillac deville

I would use any Dex Cool approved coolant, but if you're on a budget, I would use any antifreeze that says that it can mix with any color antifreeze. The warranties are the same on both types generally 5 years or so.

The antifreeze sold at Walmart for car radiators is good (but don't use the pink antifreeze used for RVs for winterizing plumbing)

Use a 50/50 solution of water to antifreeze by volume when topping off yor radiator through the overflow tank.

My heat quit working&now im having to had water to everyday

Heat not working is either a sign of a bad thermostat or bad water pump. Since you have to add coolant I would also imagine you have a major leak. Try to verify where the leak is coming from. Heater cores can also fail but you would have coolant in your car on the passenger side floor and you would notice the smell of antifreeze. Do not drive your car until you fix this. This will destroy the engine in no time!
