Question about 1987 Chevrolet Camaro
Ok my cars altenator went out i replaced it with a oldsmobile altenator which is 120 amps a camaro calls for 105 amps the altenators ae identacl so it works but i put it on and the a wire fried off my starter so i wired that wire from stater to my ignition wire off my distributor but it keeps fring the wire how can i fix this so i can get it to run its a v8 5.7L 350 votec
If its the main heavy wire that is frying you cannot run this from coil. Should go straight to battery positive positive with heavy wire (8 guage) with a suitable fusible link. Auto elec should be able to do this cheap and easy.
