If its the main heavy wire that is frying you cannot run this from coil. Should go straight to battery positive positive with heavy wire (8 guage) with a suitable fusible link. Auto elec should be able to do this cheap and easy.

Battery not holding charge, not enough voltage, or the starter has went bad again. Check battery voltage, if its ok, then replace starter again.

Jump the vehicle, if it starts then the problem is a dead cell in the battery if it doesn't there is a problem in the vehicle security system. If you have an after market alarm installed you can disconnect the power wire to that alarm and that will disable the starter kill switch and allow the vehicle to start.

I WOULD GET A SECOND OPINION AT A RELIABLE SHOP, ALSO VOLTMETER COULD BE FAULTY. I WOULD ALSO CHECK BATTERY CABLES, MAKE SURE THEY ARE TIGHT & CLEAN. THE GROUND CABLE SHOULD BE BOLTED SECURELY TO THE ENGINE & A SMALLER GROUND WIRE FROM THE BATTERY TO THE FENDER & OR SHEET METAL.

did you have sound with old radio before ? did you use a wiring harnest ? check speaker wires or if you have the factory bose or concert sound system the factory amp probably went bad therefor you would have to run speaker wire from each speaker to correct the problem .

Not charging after trying the remote starter

under the dash there will be 2 red wires going into the remote start unit, there will also be 1 fuse on each red wire, remove the fuses and your remote starter will be disabled, then you can eliminate any isusses with it

1999 oldsmobile silhouette wont start by igition but self started

The radio and lights usually work when the battery is mostly dead. Check battery and cables to make sure you have a FULL contact. Also do the same with cables and starter. Most parts stores will check battery, altenator, and starter on bench test or in the vehicle for free or extremely cheap. Also you may want to check starter relay for current with an ohmmeter
