Bad injectors ford girlfriend problums. cut injector harnes -gone- need to know witch way to hook up injectors I got 1 tan w red 1 tan w ornge n 2 reds I KNOW REDS GO TO 1 side of injectors an 1 tan to 2 of them an other tan gos to other 2 infact I know witch 1s but need to know configureation help my ex girlfriend got mad an then took the sockets with

I am not quite sure what damage you are repairing, there is a red and white wire, just make sure all the reds go to the same side of plug, the white is the ground the PCM it turns off and on to pulse the injector.

Checking for Battery voltage at the injector an control by the engine computer would be a good thing to do . The red wire at the injector should have B+ voltage with the key on . The other wire, tan with a red stripe goes to the computer. The computer supply's a ground to that wire when an input from a sensor ( crank , cam or some other one , tells it to . Giving a ground on that wire will energize the injector ,there by squirting fuel . There are videos on youtube on checking fuel injectors an circuits .

All of the injectors get power from the red wire. Then you have different tan wires for ground back to the ecm.
You would first check for power on the red wire, then use a low voltage test light to check for ground pulse from the engine computer.

What do the white wires in the harness go to, I cut them off (accedent) and am not sure if I hooked them back right. also the 2 tan ones?


Not familar with american motors but i would hazard a guess and assume they are for the lamba sensor ,now the 2 white wires sre for the heatrer on the sensor so they can be connected anyway around but the 2 tan wires have got me as a lamba sensor uses two different colours for the filament in the sensor a gray and black is normal but it can vary although i have seen two black and two grays on some replacement sensors so just connect them up and if iam correct it should work providing that this is the lamba sensor wires you have cut through ,if iam right and the engine symbol light comes off reverse the two tan wires and clear the fault code and try again

My 1998 gmc envoy 130,000 has failed inspection. i had 1 sensor replace,oil filter,air filter, ac spark plug,ignition wire set, and ignition coil all replace. code#p0302 n p0453 seem to be my problem....


remove the spark plug and see if it is wet. See if it smells like gas. Put the plug in the plug wire and crank the car to see if it sparks. If so, get a compression gauge and screw it into the plug hole and crank the engine. Good compression 100lbs or better. If good suspect injector.

Code 27 : Injector circuit isn't switching when it's told to (TBI )
OR (MPI) injector circuit #1 not switching ri ght
OR (turbo) injector circuit #2 not switching right
OR (all 1990-) injector output driver not responding

hi as you can see this code has to do with your fuel injectors,firs thing that you had to make sure is that if your computer harnes is not loose, to do this just unplug the computer harnes and plug it back, then if this does not correct the problem you have to do the same plug and unplug thing to every injector and if this does not correct the problem then you may had a bad injectors and you have to replace them, the cheapest way to do this is to go to a junk yard and buy a used fuel injector rail so you don´t have to replace injector by injector just replace the entire rail wich its more easy to do, hope this helps.

Hello! The ZETEC engine was used in the 1999 Ford Escort...I do not know what year your vehicle is, however the pin layouts are the same...

The Fuel Injector Fuse (30A) feeds the injectors via normally open contacts of the PCM Power Relay on a Red/White wire (which becomes Red at the injectors) on pin #12 of the Constant Control Module...
The wire colors of injector control leads (at the injectors) are..#3=Brown/Yellow...#1=Tan...#4=Brown/Light Blue...And #2=White

Wire colors at the PCM plug are...#3=Brown/White (pin 74)...#1=Yellow (pin 75...#4=Green/Orange (pin100)...and #2=Violet/Yellow (pin 103)...

Size restrictions on attachments do not allow me to send the entire PCM...aka...ECM pin layout to you...

#1 go to a auto parts store and get some stp fuel injector cleaner,then try some sea foam if that doesnt work (witch iam sure it does) then u just need new injectors

92 ford probe with two cylinders dead one on each side. i do get spark, fuel, and compression. but i dont get fuel in the cylinder but the injectors are not clogged.


Check the pulse on the two injectors.Purchase a noid light at the parts store,that will fit the injector harness,see if the noid lights will flash,if they do,then replace the injectors,this would be the only thing it could be.If the noid light is not puling,or flashing,then the computer is the problem,seeing it is the distributor of the pulse on time.
