What brand headlight bulb will provide brightest and widest beam for a 2007 GMC Yukon XL Denali for replacement of stock bulbs? I live in rural area and need the BEST and brightest bulbs available today..., thank you. Brian

Can simply be the low beam elements are bad in bulbs, or the dimmer switch itself or could simply be the fuses to the low beam elements in the fuse panel. Often the high beam and low beam are on seperate fuse links. Ck the fuse boxes both inside and under the hood. hope it helps, TH,
This is an easy fix that doesn't require any tools at all.
Raise the hood and look directly on the top of the headlamp assembly.
On each side, there's a rod. Swing it out and pull it up and out and place to the side for now.
Next, grab the assembly and pull it forward and you will see the bulb connections in the back.
Reverse the procedures to reinstall the assembly.
i would try replacing those bulbs, the headlights are dual filiment and can work on just high beam and not on low beam,so start there and replace your bulbs
Change the bulb. High and low beams are separate bulbs located in the headlight housing. Im not sure on the 07 but the earlier design Yukon (02)you have to pull out a pin located under the hood on the top of the light housing in order to remove it.
There are two pins on the righ and left side of each Headlight. Turn the pins forward then pull all the way up and out. The Headlight should easily come out. You now will have complete access to your daytime running light bulb socket. Twist out and replace bulb. To replace assembly simply go in reverse order keeping in mind that the holes need to be lined up when inserting pins. Thank you for using fixya and be safe.
I am not familiar with the model but the vehicle handbook usually contains instructions and diagrams on bulb replacement. If stuff has to be removed to change the bulb the book will usually tell you to take the car to your nearest dealer.
Many headlamp bulbs need a strong light, a mirror and a great deal of patience...
You should be able to reach under the hood into the headlight assembly and grab the bulbs and twist them off if not then you have to take off your entire headlight assembly then take the bulbs out.
