Hi, I have a 98 toyota corolla that has a really noisy ac fan. I'm pretty sure the fan itself just has a loose screw that actually holds the fan blades to its motor. I think it should be a fairly easy fix but don't want to start disassembling the casing without some sort of schematic or manual. Any suggestions on where I could find such a beast? Or maybe someone else has had the same problem? It's absolutely maddining when the ac is on.

The corolla fans are pretty standard over this period. Verify that the electrical connector is identical and you should be good to go.

Hi Venci,

Yes you can...make sure that the cowling will fit onto your radiator, or change the fan into the original cowling.

1989 Toyota Corolla 2bl Fan not coming on to cool radiator

You would first need to jumper the relay to make sure the fan can run, and then check the relay circuits for power and a ground signal from the computer. The computer grounds the relay when the fan is needed.

How do you reset circuit breaker for power windows on 98 toyota corolla

If the circuit has a circuit breaker, it resets by itself when it cools off.
You might need to replace it, or test the circuit for power.

Fans just a/c,but when you turn off a/c fans stop working.98 corolla

fans are controlled by the water temp sensor, automatically come on with ac just wait 15 min see if when it gets just past normal operating temp they kick on,, check relays and fuses..

The radiator cooling fans run continuously in my 1998 Toyota Corolla. Would this be the result of a failed thermostat, fan relay or something else?

Fan switch should be located in the upper radiator tank. Two wires to it. it works off the temp of the water.

Cooling fan

Many times the relay contacts for engine cooling fan motors burn togeather (fans draw allot of amps) and the fan will no shut off, I would recommend you replace the fan relay, I think that will cure the problem.

Overheating engine, but no water leakage; when overheating the fan for the heat in the car remains cool.

Hi.
A number of possibilities...
1/ lack of coolant in system,
2/ coolant supply to interior heater blocked / controls jammed,
3/ failing thermostat switch to engine fan
4/ failing water pump

#2 may be separate problem and I would check out #3 - after #1, of course!
Hope this helps - if not hold the rating and add a comment below. Cheers, D.
