Check for broken wires inside the rubber boot from body to doors.
Do you know about electronic control modules ?
The power window system consists of the following components:
?€¢
Driver door module (DDM)

?€¢
Passenger door module (PDM)

?€¢
Body control module (BCM)

?€¢
LR power window switch

?€¢
RR power window switch

?€¢
Window up and window down relays in each of the rear passenger window switches

?€¢
Window lockout switch

?€¢
Reversible power window motors in each of the doors (circuit breaker protected)

?€¢
LT DOOR CB 25A (System power for left rear window)

?€¢
RT DOOR CB 25A (System power for right rear window)

The power window system will operate anytime the retained accessory power (RAP) system is active or when the ignition switch is in the ACCY or ON position.
The DDM contains 4 power window switches which are integral components. Closing any of the normally open, rocker type switches provides the DDM with a request for power window operation. The switches for the 2 front windows have 3 positions Up, Down and Express Down, while the switches for the rear windows have only 2 positions, Up and Down. Each of these switches and their positions is a direct input into the DDM. Upon receiving a request for power window operation, the DDM, transmits a class 2 message indicating the switch and it's changed position.
The PDM contains a single power window switch that is an integral component. Closing of this normally open, rocker switch provides the PDM with a request for the front passenger power window operation. The switch for the front passenger window has 2 positions Up and Down. Each of these switch positions is a direct input to the PDM.
The 2 rear passenger doors have there own switches. Each of the switches contain a power window up and down relay. A switch activation alone can control the up and down functions of the rear windows. However the BCM, upon receiving a class 2 message from the DDM, can control the set of relays which will activate the rear window motors.

2000 Mitsubishi Galant rear window only goes down not up passenger side motor and regulator are fine replaced with new one replaced both switches getting power going up and down to motor hot wired the...

if you hot wired it straight to the motor and it works up and down fine chances are you have a broken or shorted wire between the button switch and the motor itself possibly between where the door opens and shuts at the hinge

Left rear window goes down but not up

What you have is an electric motor that can run in forward and reverse.
In the UP position the motor gets power on one side and ground on the other, DOWN is the opposite.
While it is possible the motor is defective, chances are you have a problem with one of the switches. Power and ground go thru the driver master switch as well as the left rear door switch, so you would need to check for power and ground at the motor for each direction.

Hi, I have a 1998 Lesabre and the rear drivers side power window goes down but not up. Seems to have power to the motor. Replaced the motor but same results. Took the motor out and tested it and it works...

Good Evening, I have run into this a number of times that the contacts in the switch between the lesabre, and the park avenues. Try a different switch and see how that works. I hope this is of some help.

Rear passenger power windows go up but switch does not work to put them down what could be the problem

Which Switch? The one on the rear door or the one on the drivers door? If it is the one on the rear door double check the safety switch on the drivers door to make sure the rear switches are not disabled. If the window goes up and down with any switch but one of the switches is giving you problems it is the switch that is not working.

Hi i have a 2003 Ram 2500 4x4 quad cab. the passeger and rear power windows work only from the drivers control not from their switches, i've tried the lockout switch in up and down positions several times...

sounds like the switch went bad. all power goes thrugh the drivers switch before the pasangers side. you my have to check to see if you have power at both switches. you'll probly find that one is bad or corroded
