Open the hood, find the light housing, a round black can looking device, press the release tab and rotate the curved plastic arm upwards. this will release the housing and pull the whole housing forward out of the car. It will still be attached to the car with a wire. Open the back cover over the bulb, disconnect the wiring plug and undo the spring clip. Pull the bulb out and when replacing the bulb do not touch the bulb with your skin. It will burn out quickly with skin oil on it.
To install housing, place it so that all three rails or guides line up and gently slide in. You will have to jiggle and wiggle the housing and the locking lever. When nearly fully installed slide the locking lever down to lock headlight housing in place.

Front turn signal bulb replacement 2008 SRX . Jack up car & block . Remove front wheel & front half of the wheel house assemble. There are about 7 plastic pull rivets that have to be removed . Pull out the wheel house . Remove turn signal & driving light cover held on by 6 # T10 torx screws . Twist out socket & replace bulb # 3757NAK . Should take about 45 min.
There are two bulb containers above the license plate light and you just need a small screw driver to press in under the left side of the plastic bulb housing to release the plastic clip. The plastic bulb holder will swing from the right hand side and will then fall out. All you need is a medium size flat head screw driver.
You have to unscrew the housings with a philips screw driver and take the housing out of the hole, by turning it sideways and pulling it out. Then turn out the bulb holder from the back of the housing and pull out the bulb.
It's easy, but may need some patience. No need to take off rear door inside panel! Press firmly on the left side of the light housing. It should move towards the right..then pull up slightly and it should pop out from the door panel. Twist the center bulb housing counterclockwise just slightly and the bulb should disconnect from the lense. Pull the bulb out...and replace with new bulb. Replace both sides if you like.
Open the truck & remove philips head screw that is located to the left of the tail light housing in the trunk lid weatherstripping housing area. Next unscrew the trunk lining screw to fold back the trunk lining to get at the two plastic wing nuts that hold the light housing.
Unscrew these two wing nuts and slide the housing out, then remove the bulbs and replace. Bulbs come out similarly to how you'd replace the front headlight bulbs (unplug, twist counter-clockwise to unlock and remove old bulb, replace with new bulb and turn clockwise to lock, plug back in).
if you are wanting to take out the light housing... -- remove the black plastic cover (flat head screw driver and needle nose pliers work well for me) use the screw driver to lift up the head of the black plastic "bolts" (i'll call them) and then either pull them out by hand or with the needle nose pliers.
** note: make sure you take the entire plastic bolt out, there are two parts**
Remove black plastic cover -- remove the two bolts/screws (2 for each headlight) -- carefully pull the headlight housing out ** NOTE** the bulbs will still be attached so be careful Then twist the bulblight socket (to the left) and pull it out. Repeat the steps in reverse order if replacing just the housing If you want to replace the bulbs follow the below procedure
Once the socket is out of the housing, gently pull the bulb out. (may want to use a rag/glove/towel incase bulb breaks)
Take new bulb and (using rag/glove/towel) push the bulb back into the socket and then repeat the above steps in reverse...
I am trying to remember for sure but I believe the 2 Plastic wing nuts just release part of the lens and your covering. You need to pull back the cover in the trunk just a bit more and you should see 2 more Plastic wing nuts to release the rest of the housing.
Most tail light housings use the same approach. The bulb is removed from the housing by twisting the back of the bulf where the wires are. Usually the bulb itself has a rubber back and turning it about a quarter turn counterclockwise (remember lefty=loosey; righty = tighty) will release the bulb it from the taillight housing. Take the bulb with you when you go for a replacement to be sure you get the right one. The bulb will only fit one way into its socket and the socket will only fit one way into the housing.
