The engine may not be running right on all four cylinders causing the engine to shake after the automatic choke drops. take out one spark plug at a time leaving h.t lead on get someone to turn it over whilst you check the strength of each spark being carefull not to touch the plug as this will give you a very nasty shock [I KNOW]

Replaced 2006 Corolla battery that died Saturday, installed Sunday. I drove today with such a strong vibration that I feel nauseous. No one here stated the strength of their vibration.

I would need to feel this to diagnose it. Most likely you have lost the engine idle speed learned information and this means you must drive it for a week or so for the idle to relearn your habits.

Ive got a Corolla 2006 model,im getting a lot of vibration from the engine while in drive but stationary-like at the red light,my engine RPM is showing about 500 is that to slow can I get the RPM adju

Hello, the idle speed is controlled by the computer, there is no adjustment, what you can do is to clean the inside of the throttle body:

Remove the intake hose from the T/Body, disconnect the battery, use a can of air intake/throttle body cleaner and a brush, open the throttle all the way and clean the carbon out, put the hose back and reconnect the battery, start the engine and keep the rpm up until it clears out, drive it for about 15 minutes, about 90% of the time this fixes low idle.

revs will drop when put in drive ,does vibrating stop when you take foot of brake a slowly accelerate away? if so vibration could be coming from worn eng/transmission mountings

My car is making an awful groaning grinding noise noise when it starts. The noise stops after it starts. Put my foot on the brake it starts again. put thr car in reverse no problem put it in,drive it...

It's your exhaust mounts or broken exhaust bolts. It does it in drive st idle n under load because the motor is sitting in rubber mounts made to dampen vibration. Therefore the motor tilts to the left in reverse pulling the exhaust away from your under carraige, and to the right in drive causing the loose exhaust to vibrate against something. Check your heat shields also. They fall apart n do the same noise. Piece of cake.

Vibrations in truck when ideling and when accelerating

That might be a problem with motor mounts. Raise the hood, start truck and while holding the brake put in gear and slowly press accelerator. A bad motor mount will allow the engine to twist in place. Don't forget to check the transmission mounts also.
