Hissing noise coming from rear passenger side

I've had a hissing sound coming from the rear passenger side. I thought my tire was leaking. However, after a day, the tire never went down. As I Iooked closer there are two lines that connect to an aluminum looking block. Is this for Air Conditioning?

There is a short hiss sound almost like an air leak coming from the front drivers side wheel. Its not an air leak

CHECK THE TIRE AIR STEM.I HAVE SEEN THEM LEAKING.I HEARD A HISSING NOISE TOOK TIRE OFF SPRAY SOAP WATER SOLUTION ON IT LOOKING FOR A AIR LEAK.DID NOT SEE IT UNTIL WHEN I PUT HUB CAP ON.HOLE THAT THE AIR STEM GOES THROUGH HIT AGAINST AIR STEM HISSING GOT WORSER LOUDER THEN I FOUND WHERE LEAK WAS.SO CHECK AIR STEM TO TIRE MOVE IT A LITTLE SEE IF YOU HEAR HISS NOISE.

2005 grand caravan front heater and defrorst not working ,rear heater is working . i also hear a hissing noice on the passenger side

Just a suspicion: hissing noise comes from failed/jammed/malfunctioning motor to move the door
in the ducting to route heated air to the hoses/ports for "heater" and "defrost."
Problem: failure of motor/linkage to heater/defrost selector door under the dash on the passenger side.
Also sounds like you have not blown fuse to this selector door.
Also - hissing noise could be air being forced against the closed door (which should be open) - in this
case, you'd want to check the fuse to the heater/defroster actuator door.
The rear heater works since its function is not related to the operation of the front heater/defroster.

Hissing sound like air from a tire coming from underneath rear driver's side

Sounds like you have something rubbing, since you are not loosing air and there is nothing else to hiss,, an exhaust leak would have a different sound. I have seen debris get wedged in the brakes and make a noise when you are underway. The sound would vary, depending on what sort of debris it is. I would remove the wheel and look for the culprit. Your brakes may need to be religned as well. Sometimes the audible brake wear sensor will make a noise like that. Good Luck! I hope this is very helpful!

Hissing noise coming from the rear of the car. I

probabbly not the brakes, maybe the tires but u need to check that, if u hear that noise with the engine running it might be a burned out gasket on your exhaust line
hope this helps

2003 forester - there is water leaking in the front passenger side floor when the air conditioner is running. sometimes a hissing sound also in the same area.

You need to clear the condenstate drain for the AC evaporator core, it is under the car, as far as the hissing, sounds like a vacuum leak, look for a disconnected small hose around the area of the noise.
