2004 4 runner:
Low tire pressure warning light is on, even though there is no tire pressure issue. Is this a sensor problem? or maybe the light is not working?
The senors tell you if the tire is low or even if the tire is not low if the tires are off a couple pounds from each other then the light will come on.

I also have tpms sensor issues on a 07 optima. They are kind finicky, a variance of more than like 2lbs or so across tiers sets the light. It's possible the sensors have low batteries, unfortunately the only way to gain access to the sensors is to take the tiers off the wheel, and even then, I think the electronics are sealed in the sensor unit.
I just keep an eye on my tire pressure and ignore the warning light. All my cars before this one didn't have that feature, so it's no big loss, for me anyways...
I had run into the same issue while working on a friends truck. It is a low tire pressure light. To fix it you need to either clean the sensor or replace it.
Yeah Its a tire pressure monitor. When the temperature decreases, the tire pressure light comes on if they are just a little bit low. I filled mine up to the proper PSI and it stopped the issue.
Have you driven the vehicle over 45 mph.? If not, drive 5 miles above 45mph and the light will reset. You can also clear clear pressure reading by reseting through the DIC, mode and set buttons. Owners manual will explain use of the DIC ( Driver Information Center) Good luck, let me know. Regards,
That horseshoe-looking warning icon on your instrument panel is a cross-section of a tire. It indicates that tire pressure is low in one or more wheels. It may also inndicate that one or more tire-pressure sensors in the wheels is faulty (small battery is worn out). The air valves on yoiur rims are equipped with pressure sensors, mounted on the inside of the rim. These sensors send a wireless signal to an on-board sensor that reports low tire pressure or faulty sensor. So, check your tire pressure. It may take a few days for that icon on the dash to extinguish.
32 psiis actually low for a 3500. I have a 1500 silverado that runs 44 psi cold. The tire inflation monitor , monitors inflated cirunference. Sooooo, If it isn'nt round enough, it will let you know. Driving warms up both the air and the tire, off course changing everything again. Pressure is up and tire is bigger. Ask me not how it can tell what is going on with the tire sitting still. I'm only on page 9,000, the answer is here somewher. :-) Well good luck. I do know the above is accurate._Ned_
