Check your exhaust isnt broken or leaking

Try to pin down the source of the noise. Festivas are known to wear out wheel bearings (lil tires spin alot).
Check your tranny fluid level too.
Finally, might be a worn CV joint

Hi mad muffin,
if there is a problem in ur gearbox then
gears may not properly applied or
suddenly engine gets neutral or
pls check the JOINT which joins from gear box to crown pinion ...
