My son hit the rear right tire on a curb and broke a bar that is attached to the hub where the tire mounts. what is the exact name of this part so I can order and replace? is there a diagram of all the suspension and tire parts on the rear end that I can get?

It's not the axle, The axle is fine, not bent or anything, this is the bar that attaches to the hub, it might me a tie rod or shock but I am not sure without being able to see a diagram of the parts connected.

What is the bar that holds the tire called a stabilizer bar or a control axle?

More info.? Front tires or rear? Front tires are bolted onto a hub which connects thru the spindle into a constant velocity joint(CV joint) and goes into the tr-an-smission on a front wheel drive like you have.
Rear tires are mounted to an axle, which can be independent suspension or an axle which reaches from the left tire to the right tire.

Right Rear Axle Bent. How much will parts cost

Hi,
Your PT Cruiser does not have a rear axle per se. It has individual spindles on the left and right side which have a wheel bearing / hub assembly attached to them. The wheel bearing assembly is what your rim / tire bolts on to. Bending a spindle is very hard to do, unless you hit a curb or pothole VERY hard. It does happen, but unlikely. Wheel bearings / hubs do go bad which can cause the wheel to camber at an angle producing drag, alignment problems, brake problems and uneven / unusual tire wear. If it breaks completely, the wheel can even come off while driving.
I could not find a listing on the spindle, but a wheel bearing runs around $50-$70 per side. Replacing one can be done at home, but requires a very large socket (most are 31mm) and at least a 1/2" breaker bar or impact wrench to remove the spindle nut. Also 1/2" torque wrench to re-install.
Reply for direction on removal / installation if you intend to do the work yourself. A shop will charge you in the $200 range to do it including the part, only takes about an hour labor. If spindle is indeed bent, you will be looking at an added amount for the part, I would say one would cost in the $200 range, as they are a precision tempered steel part......Mike

Girl hit curb headon at 50 mph. Flatened 3 tires and messed up 3 rims. Right tire is turned about 3 inches to the right when the steering wheel is straight and left tire is straight. We replaced rims and...

There are many other things that can be bent, and it may not be visible to the naked eye. Hitting a curb at 50 mph is a BIG impact, the mounting points for the suspension components may be bent as well. This isn't a job for a mechanic, bring the car to a GOOD, reputable body shop. They have the equipment and expertise to diagnose exactly what is damaged/bent.

My son hit a curb and broke the right front axle what parts do i need to buy

Find a used right front axle from a wrecking yard. I can't think of any other parts that would be needed unless you for some reason can't pull out the old shaft and have to open the transmission.

Side note: The force required to break a front axle is not consistant with "hitting a curb". Something more sinister has happened to this car and a front-end inspection would be advisable.
