Hard braking could be excessive worn brake pads or brake disc has contamination like grease or oil, the brake power booster could be going bad.make sure vacuum going to power brake booster.

Abs brake problems

Its a sensor that needs changing, Even if the resistace is ok, dosent mean its pulsating and sending the correct signals.,, you already know the problem, the solution is you have to change the sensor.

My brake pedal is hard after replacing the front pads. 1990 4runner

Hard how?

You machined or replaced the rotors
You removed all rust on hub & rotor mounting surfaces
You removed all rust from caliper & pad sliding surfaces
& lubed with anti-seize
You flushed all four corners (every 2 years) brake fluid
You bought the best pads out there (raybestos, wagner, etc)
You have no vacuum leaks at the booster & pedal holds until
the engine is started?

1999 Ford E350 van problem: brake pedal is soft; have replaced master cylinder, rear wheel cylinders, rear brake shoes and drums, front calipers, rotors and discs; have bled master cylinder before...

Good question, on the antilock system is a bleader too and bleade it the same way you bleade the caliper. After all is done adjust the rear brakes, they should have a drag to them.

Anti lock stuck on is the sensor known to fail brakes soled and sounds like air presure being released at brake pedal

Frist is your pedal hard to push? Like stepping on a rock. If so, and your hearing air at the pedal, then your master cylinder is faulty and must be replaced. Hope this helps.

Abs brake light on, brake light too, hard pedal, new pads and good rotors, no pressure to rear calipers? Fluid level went low, somewhere, than came back, overflowing after filling. No body can find parts...

actually you may not need to replace any parts. from what you are explaining on the vehicle you have a air lock in your brake lines. try and bleed the brakes again starting from the rear passenger than the drivers passenger than the passengers front and last the drivers front. than disconnect the negative battery cable for about 5 min to reset the lights and see what happens. please let me know if you need more assistance with this problem.
