Question about 1999 Dodge Durango
My Durango started a violent knock (no noise) about a week ago. It is most prevalent with a load on (up hill) - around 2000 RPM. It used to be an occasional jolt, but now is much more frequent. At first no issues noted on the Tach - now slight variance, and can feel it at a stop doing the same thing (less violent). CHECk ENGINE light just came on. Cleaned the air filter and put in fuel system cleaner with last fill up of 89 Octane (had been running on 87 fine for years). Any suggestions?
Bad/ defective knock sensor will do this. Any other maintenance done lately?
