The o2 sensors in that truck are heated. You probably have a bad o2 sensor if you have a code for a 02 heater

Replace the 02 sensor with any brand but Bosch. It's located on the passengers side exhaust manifold, easy access.

I just replaced the O2 sensor behind the cat on the passenger side. I was told to check the fuse as well. The truck is a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500 HD. I have no idea what fuse needs to be checked. I can't...

there isn't a seperate fuse for the o2 sensors as such, they are controlled by the PCM. The fuses are listed on the inside of the box under the hood.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON. WAS TOLD IT WAS THE 02 SENSOR/VALVE. WHERE DO I FIND THIS? GMC SIERRA 1500

You should have 5, O2 sensors on your Sirera. What are the DTC codes, each codes will indicate which O2 sensor needs to be addressed, or is this an answer with someone guess what the check engine light is saying.
Thye check engine light could be from a bad O2 sensor to just a bad or loose gas cap to a transmission issues.
Thank you for using fixya and note that Auto Zone and most larger auto parts store will scan DTC codes free of charge.

I have a p016102 sensor heater circuit malfunction (bank 2 sensor 2) what does that mean

It basically means the PCM detected either an excessive current draw, or an open or short in the circuit powering the oxygen sensor's heater circuit. This is in reference to the Heated Oxygen Sensor (2) located rear of catalytic converter (Bank 2).

A code P0161 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
· HO2S heater power circuit open
· HO2S heater ground circuit open
· HO2S signal tracking (due to oil or moisture in the connector)
· HO2S is damaged or has failed PCM has failed

Possible Solutions
· Replace HO2 Sensor
· Repair open or short in power circuit
· Repair open or short in ground circuit
· Repair damaged connector due to tracking
