Thanks for the help but it did not fix it. To me it acts just like vapor lock but all the fuel lines are stock and original( throttle body carb) It acts like its starving for fuel ,Could it be a weak coil? And if it was a timing problem and it was set to far advanced wouldnt it turn over very slow when hot? I put new cap & rotor & wires on and no difference, I've had this problem for years and just can't figure it out, PLEASE SOMEONE HELP!

Your ign timing is to high you need to rotate your distributor clockwise about 4 deg.

if you have a tach watch it and see if it acts crazy when its acting up. If it does then it could be your ignition module in your distrubuter. its a little black four prong dodad. and yes you very well could have a cracked coil. It would make it do exactly like you say its doing, cause once the coil warms up the crack gets bigger. if you have a radio in you van sometimes there is a wistling noise that changes pitch when you rev on the motor.

2001 Volvo s40 seems to stall and not start for ten to 15 min. Also has high temperature reading that is false as car is not really hot.

You need to look at the temp sending unit it's probably faulty anthor issue with volvo is dirty throttle body's this raises havoc on the car they idle up down all over the map also you should change the thermostat too as a precautionary measure make sure it's the right temp for your year of your car thanx Chris

I have a 99 chevy 2500 van with 5.7 engine.I put new fuel pump,new fuel filter,new fuel pressure regulator,new plugs and wires,new crank shaft sensor,cleaned injectors and throttle body.When I first start...

you forgot the coolant temp sensor, this regulates how much fuel it needs according to temp outside, it can be read with a scan tool, it costs approx 20.00 and make sure they sell you the right one,you don't want the temp sender....You want coolant temp sensor ! In layman terms it's like a choke...more fuel when cold and less fuel when warm.

When it is hot out fuel pump whines when it is cool out no noise

WHEN THEY START TO WHINE THE PUMP HAD SEEN BETTER DAYS I SEEN CAR PUMP WHINE FOR MANY MOUNTHS HI TEMPERATURE IS THE WORST ENEMY OF A GAS PUMP TRY TO KEEP OR GAS TANK FULL SO THE GAS WILL KEEP THE PUMP COOL WHEN YOU HAVE VERY LOW GAS THE GAS GO IN THE FRONT AND WHEN IT COME BACK BY THE RETURN LINE AND ITS STAY TO HOT GOOD LOCK PIERRE

Overheating

If you are adding anti-freeze every time this happens, you are still loosing coolant some were. I assume there are no puddles on the garage floor or where you park the van? Check the oil dipstick and make sure the oil is not a "milky"color. Check the passenger side carpet for wetness, you may have to pull it back.
If all of that is OK, you are still burning the coolant by way of the intake gasket or head gasket.
Good luck, let me know.

1989 chevy g20 STALLING

Normally on chevy ignition modules when they go bad, they will quit when they get hot & after cooling down will work again, so when you have them tested they have cooled down. I would try changing it & see if it wont fix it.
