Freeze plugs on 1999 dodge durango how do I replace the rear freeze plug

If you speak of the freeze plugs on the rear of the block, the transmission must come out to make the repair.

If if the plug is on the side of the block, most likely the plug can be replaced will out too much fanfare.

This was a known issue on the 5.2/5.9 motors. Best to replace all of them if you have to remove the trans.

open the hood and stand in the front looking to the firewall you will see the blower housing on the left side (passenger side) if not open passenger door and look under the dash it may be in a box that is hooked to your air flow vents.

How to replace a blower motor on a 2002 durango, under the dash the fan only runs on hi-speed

if the fan is working on high speed then you don't need to replace it. You need to replace the resisters that control the fan speed. It's far more cheaper by the way

1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Fan Motor Resistor Location

I've never seen a vehicle w/o a blower resistor. You don't need to remove the blower. The resistor is about 2 inches x 3 inches and is installed in a hole in the plenum (duct) near the blower motor. It will have a wiring harness connected to it. It could be under the passenger dash or under the hood, depending on where the blower motor is.

Heater Fan Only Works On High

This is 100% the Blower Motor Resistor, located adjacent to the Blower Motor. This is a common problem with Dodge. I had to replace my own and several dozen others on Chyrsler's, Dodge's, Plymouth and Jeep.

Make sure you disconnect the Battery and wait for 2-minutes to discharge the Air Bag System. Remove your Passenger Side - Dash -Glove Box for easier access.

Let me know if this helped...
