Hi , that is an easy problem don't worry , you should check on the sparks , and the sparks wires , and i am sure that it will be from the sparks , so check and get new one , and if you have any other problem just come and ask me , and thank you for using fixya ,

Did you check the fuel pump relay ? The relay gets power from a fuse and also from the PCM relay. The computer grounds the relay to turn it on for 3 seconds when you turn the key on, then only after the computer "sees" RPM or oil pressure.

1999 Cadillac some times starts and other times it just cranks and won't start for several weeks

You'll have to figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.
Is the check engine light on ? Have you checked for trouble codes ?
It could be a relay, the ignition module, coil, fuel pump, or a list of other things.

After the vehicle sits for a while it is hard to start. It cranks over several times before it finally starts. It takes quite a while. What could be the problem?

sounds like a hole in the fuel line all it takes is a pin hole and the fuel system does not stay pressurized start it and start twisting fuel lines a look for leaks

Hard starting mazda mpv 2003

Hi
In most case's it will be the spark plugs which will need to be replaced. Try to do these asap as it will lead to more further problems. If you have done this then check when air/fuel filters were last replaced and replace these.

Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.

Hard starting, excessive crank time

try changing the fuel filter and turn the key on and off several times before starting engine. once running check the vaccum line on the fuel pressure regulator.the regulator can leak fuel from that connection.

1998 Jeep Cherokee - hard to start

My 98 Cherokee was the exact same. I used to have to turn the key back and forth 3 times and then it would start. Otherwise it would just crank and crank for a while and then start. Pretty embarrassing! Took it to the dealer and they said that my fuel pump was losing pressure. I changed the fuel pump and I don't have to prime the pump anymore.
