Question about 2003 Honda Civic
How can I determine if my 2003 Honda Civic LX sedan I bought used is capable of using a Honda OEM keyless remote? The remotes are available online, but the sellers can't tell me what I need to look for to determine if my car can use them.
Keep in mind that I bought the car used and it only came with one master key (black) and one valet key (gray), and the previous owner said he bought the car used as well, so he didn't know if the car ever came from the factory with keyless remotes.
My sedan has electric locks and electric windows (that's what the Honda dealers asked when inquiring about their now non-available keyless remote "kits") with cruise control, and yes, everything works.
Please be VERY detailed about what I should look for to determine if my Civic can use the OEM keyless remote.
TIA . . .
THE DEALER SHOULD BE ABLE TO TELL YOU BY THE VIN NUMBER IF THE CAE CAME WITH A FACTORY KEYLESS ENTERY THAN YOU CAN BUY THE REMOTE PAD AND PROGRAM IT
