Question about 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser
I am having a 1996 model Toyota Landcruiser Prado. The vehicle type is KD-KZJ95W-GKPST. The engine is 1KZ-TE 2982CC diesel. I am facing a peculiar problem in the vehicle. The vehicle when parked at upward inclined surface, just refuses to move inspite of full throttle down. I experience total loss of power. The engines RPM remains at the same level and gets an increase after a minute or so and when the engine RPM increases beyond 1600, only then vehicle starts to move. This way i can't drive the vehicle on the hills. However the vehicle runs fine in the planes except with a loss of power till the engine fault light vanishes i.e. after 2200 RPM. Meanwhile, the engine fault light appears again on the instrument panel whenever the engine RPM gets less than 2200.
I got the engine analysed and it showed the following fault codes:
14 IGF or IGT circuit of ignition system fault.
35 Turbine charger pressure sensor signal abnormal (ECU cannot receive air intake pressure or temperature signal for more than 0.5 second while idling)
(1) VC power abnormal (normal value is 4.5-5.5)
(2) PIM (intake air pressure sensor) or VS (air flow meter) output signal abnormal.
(3) Intake air temerature or pressure sensor fault.
(4) Module fault.
The mechanic, then as guided by engine analyser removed the battery terminals for 15 minutes and then again analysed the engine. The engine then showed only Code 001: 14 IGT or IGF circuit of ignition system fault.
My mechanic is unable to find the defective component. It would be a great help to me if you could pin point where the fault could be and which component or sensor is to be replaced so that vehicle runs fine with proper torque and power in the hills. How can i get defective part in India and from where i should get it replaced.

Hi, better check the TCV (timing control valve) located below the injection pump.
