Water laeking Hi Can anyone explain why water is leaking down on the floor on the left hand front passenger side. I can receive up to 500ml in minutes in a down pour when the car is at a standstill. It's dripping from the upper region behind the glove box.

My cr-v does the same, it’s the seal between the glass and the plastic wiper motor cover (I’m sure there is a word for it).

A condenser from your A/C unit could cause water droplets and a puddle to appear. If you live in a humid area you could be seeing that condensation very similar to a cold glass getting condensation on the outside due to cold liquid on the inside. If the water has color i.e. green, it may be a leak in your heater core. One possible way to find out is to not run the A/C or the defroster as this causes the compressor to kick on also, and see if the water stops dripping.

Good Luck

1997 Nissan Sentra when it rains water leaks in on the passenger floor somehow behind the dash Maybe

Don A has an excellent answer, but if you have a sunroof, that is more likely the reason. The pipe runs down between the door pillar and the windshield and there is often a join there which can part. Be careful with compressed air as it can blow joints apart.

I have a water leak on the left side of my Volvo 1985 760 Turbo

I had this same problem on a '92. Get the carpet out even if you have to cut it out and dry the car with a space heater or blow dryer. Cover with a canvas to keep water out. Get under the car and look for holes in the floor or firewall allowing rainwater in. You may need to do as I did and remove the hood, left front fender, wipers, and louvered wiper panel, to look for holes. Use a garden hose to find leak. I found 3 rust holes in the firewall, using a strong flashlight and mirror to see hidden areas. I patched with metal patches, silicone, and roofing tar.

My passenger side floor is saturated with water when it rains. When I make right turn I hear what seems like water sloshing.

Hello,
If you can smell a little bit of a sweet smell from the water on the passenger side floor, or if it has an oily film to it, you may have a leaking heater core.

They usually leak on the passenger side floor, and that might explain why you hear water sloshing around.

If you can run the engine for about 5 minutes and then turn your heater on. Look under the dash in the area where the dash meets the floor board and see if you can see anything leaking.

I hope this helps you.

Wet floors on passenger side after it rains.

Is it possible the water is actually coming from the A/C evaporator case, whose DRAIN IS CLOGGED ? The water produced by the A/C then leaks out of the case, down under the carpeting, then depending how vehicle is parked, can flow to the rear floors and carpet. Hope this helps

2002 Toyota RAV4 passenger side floor Water

Hi, we also have a 2002 Toyota Rav4 and developed a leak in the front driver's side of the car. After much research, we discovered that the drain wells from our sun/moon roof were clogged. If you have one of these, I suggest that you open the sun roof and look carefully. You will notice some tiny little holes in front and in the rear of the sun/moon roof tracks. Over time, these become clogged with dust and debris. You need to find a long, sturdy piece of thin wire and run it down the holes. To test if you have properly unclogged these, take a small amount of water and pour it down the holes. You should see water coming out of the drain wells under the car around the rear of the front tires. Hope this helps.
