Question about 1998 Chevrolet Suburban
I have Chevrolet 1500 suburban model 1998 done 88500 miles with the following problem.
1- The problem started since 6 months back
2- I can not start the truck , cranked well but engine not fired
3- When I take some petrol in small can and I poured it inside engine , the engine start well
4- When I driving I don’t feel any problem at all in the engine
5- When the engine hot and I switch off and re start the car most of the time it start fine
6- First time I send it to workshop , they asked me to change spark plugs all , and the petrol filter , I did but no success
7- Next time they asked me to clean engine by connect circulation system of chemical (wash injectors chemically) also no success.
8- I take it to other workshop they said the fuel pump ok but you need to replace injector’s m, modular and regulator.
No I am totally confused , and I need any help , I really feel grateful for any help as I live in a country where most of the techs not well qualified and the do trail and fault technique , change this and change that and this is very costly .
Many thanks in advance.
These particular Vortec engines need more fuel pressure to start than run. So being able start it by pouring fuel and being able to drive suggests a pump starting to go bad (loosing pressure), a cloogged filter (causing a restriction), or a fuel pressure regulator going out (letting off too much pressure).
