Windshield wiper switch

My windshield wiper switch that's on the steering column only works on high (the mister still works) and I have to time it right when I shut it off otherwise the wipers stop right when I turn the switch to the off position. I don't know how to find out if its the switch or what. Thank you for your time. Let me know what you think at paul-hawkins@excite.com

The only other part that could be the problem with the winshield wipers not working in slow-mode or not park when you shut off the wiper switch is the winshield wiper motor, it has a park swith inside the motor to shut off the wipers and park them were they should be.

The most common problem is called the multi-function switch or turn signal switch--replace it----8 out of 10 thats the problem

blown fuse, faulty wiper motor or faulty wiper switch. Possible you got a bad new wiper motor if you replaced everything in the order you wrote it in.

This sounds like the wiper control module. Most of these are a module attached to the wiper motor but are replaceable seperate from the wiper transmisson.

If it is the turn lever wiper switch most likely switch is bad not to hadr to replace. After you remove the column plastics there are two torx screws holding switch on.

Windshield wipers will not shut off?

I replaced the Power fuse/relay located under the steering wheel dash. Its a gray canister and only costs $3.00. That seemed to repair the windshield wiper and powerlockes and powerseat. The resone that the ruse/relay went out in the first place was because the power seat switches were touching the frame of the chair. All i did to fix that was to use electrical tape on the frame and around the switch assembly.

Windshield wipers don't work

Ok, this is a steering column issue. The wiring needs to be replaced. Shouldn't cost much at all. also, the external switch may have issues as well but, i suggest you re wire your steering column to fix this problem.
