First, did you make sure that the battery is healthy? A voltage reading of 12.5-13.5 volts is normal.

Secondly, does the ignition rotor turn when the engine is turned over? Is you timing belt okay?

Thirdly, are you receiving fuel when the car is turning over? Is your fuel pump Okay and has the fuel filter been changed?

    Need more info!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

back up 1 ,2,3, i did answer in depth.
so if 3x ok ,then maybe engine is bad. huh.
if spark timing is way off, the ignored timing belt did slip
5min check with any timing, light, bingo , way off, cam is slipped
and now the valves are all bent and compression is zilch.
short version ,back up for longer.

Driving my honda 2001 crv and it just lost power and now wont start

I would check the Ignitor. This is a common problem, they often become heat saturated which causes a failure to deliver spark. Do not pull a plug and ground it unless you have a resistive spark tester. If you do you may end up with a fried ignitor if you don't already have one

Pull a spark plug after trying to start it, and sniff the plug. If it smells like gas, you are getting fuel. Then check for spark. First leave the gas to dry off the plug. Then with heavy gloves on, or holding the metal body of the plug to the engine block with it plugged into the plug wire, have someone crank it while you look for a bright bluish spark between the electrodes on the plug. If nothing, your problem is ignition rather than fuel. Good luck. Again, make sure the gas has dried from the plug before you try this, and make sure to hold the plug and wire with something insulated. It will give you a serious shock if you don't!
