"hmmmm" in rear of car. Need to know what speed range, acceleration or deceleration, cruising ? Do you have any noise when selecting "R" or "D". Has the diff oil been checked?

It could be your differential is worn.. out of alignment, or just messed up. Have you messed with anything back there? How many miles are on the car? ( this is just a guess there could be so many things but this was an obvious one)

How do i replace the rear axel bearings on a 1988 Chevrolet IROC Z28 Camaro

Put car in neutral, remove wheels, calipers and rotors, diff. cover. rotate carrier until you see wrist pin retaining bolt, remove bolt and slide out the wrist pin out of carrier. Next push axle inward to remove inner axle "C" retainer washer then slide axle out of tube. Then pry off axle seal and with slide hammer w/attachment remove axle bearing.

My 99 z28 was stolen. My whole rear end of the body was wrecked. I need another body. I have looked everywhere. Where can I find an affordable body style, with T-tops for a 99 z28 camaro?

Contact just about any salvage yard they are linked via network and can find the nearest rear clip for you. You probably won't be able to get a complete body due to title issues from them. next thing is another car dump this one.

I just bought a 1991 z28 camaro with 71,000 miles on it I have a growling noise in the back end of the car and i have replaced the brake pads and bearings on both side of the car and the noise is still...

Sounds like the differential bearings are on the way out. Big perfromance cars like this are always driven hard and its hard on the diff. Put the car up on solid stands, chock the front wheels and put in drive and see if you can here the noise from the diff.

How to install rear shocks on 1994 camaro z28

The lower connections are pretty straightforward under the car, but the upper or top connection has to be reached from the inside of car. Pull the rear seatback down , move the carpet, and the side quarter panel trim on both sides, you will see the top of the shocks, and will need 1/2" or 9/16" box-end ratchet wrench or a 1/2" or 9/16" open end wrench, I used a pair of vise grip pliers to keep the top of the shock from turning as I loosened the nut.

Loud humming noise when driving and it's getting louder

I have the same problem, but mine is in the front end. I went to a mechanic and he told me my wheel barring was going out. I was told to replace the hub assembly on my car.

Fix rearaxle 97 camaro

It should have a bolt through a pin holding it in place inside the diff cover. Remove the cover, find the small bolt going through the pin, remove the bolt and pin, and push inward on the axle from the hub. The retainer clip should fall, allowing you to pull the axle shaft out.
Good luck!

Haynes Automotive manuals have the best diagrams. Do you have a specific trouble you are looking at.
