Knock sencer showing up when get checked with light on what to do? when does timing belt need to be changed?

The timing is not always right during the warm up cycle. Actual knocking I think has a knock sensor and comes up as a diagnostic code. The engine runs bad on a cold morning when its low on oil. They need a lot of oil. Then theres mysterious stuff like blocked fuel supply, timing belt sync wrong (inference engine!) wrong injector seals creating blowby causing oil strainer clog. Yeah bad injector or it made a hole in your piston.

I would change it anyway. I would scan it again and see if the knock sensor code is stored.

try the o2 sencers they are those likely to go bad usefully bank 1 sencer 1 just before your cat converter

if timing is not set yes it could cause this fault. but would need more info on this car

if the engine light has come back on, take it to a mechanic get it scanned and let us know what fault codes you have. cheers.

its a dummy light and its probly in the emsission system somewhere like a bad O2 sensor or a bad EGR valve PCV valve something vaccuum controlled get it put on a diagnostic machine to find out for sure (the dealership has the best diagnostics machines for your car) also you may want to look over all your vaccuum lines also to make sure that none of them are cracked or leaking because that will make the engine light come on as well.

P1391 is a timing referance code, your timing is crucial to engine operation, this can be caused by the crank and or cam position sencer. If you changed these and the problem still exists, maybe you got ahead of yourself. These two (2) sencers run in conjuntion with each other, if one is out of whack for any length of time, The ECU will trip and pretty much say to itself, The Timing chain is broken, fix me! Also note that these sensers are typacaly LOW FAIL items. So on especially vehicles with the 2.5Ltr. V6, If you suspect a sencer is bad and you change it, might be a good idea to change both sencers and the timing belt since like all belts it may be streching.

This car does not have a timing chain, it has a belt. The reason your knock sensor and O2 sensor is coming on is likely because your timing belt has stretched which caused it to jump time. Since the engine is not properly timed the fuel mixture is off and the engine is pinging/knocking and that is why the knock sensor is coming up. The sensors are doing their job and keeping the engine from blowing. You should put a timing belt on the car ASAP. I recommend changing the tensionors while you are at it.

check engine light is not a big deal unless it's flashing.
A knock sensor is never bad and if it was, it's no big deal either. Just $600 to replace for nothing.
