If you want more smoke and power turn up your pump and adjust your governor springs. if you just looking for lots of smoke, plug off your return line

Quit smoking


The newer engines are very critical to torque specs. If they were not torqued properly, even the slightest, you can have what is occurring. The older vehicles had much higher torque settings and this was hardly ever a problem.

remove the inspection cover under the torque converter and check for failed flexi-plate drive. The plate that the torque converter is connected to that is attached to the crank shaft. Check the torque converter control (TCC) clutch solenoid/servo for failure.

How to tell if water pump is bad


On most cars, a failed water pump would leak coolant onto the ground.
If you are getting coolant smoke in the exhaust, I would guess you have a leaking head gasket or other engine problem.

Is it smoking all the time or just when your driving? It could be burning oil or you might have a upper head problem which will leak oil and cause it to smoke.

1996 Dodge ram 2500 4x4 5.9 cummins Shifts in and out of overdrive in cold weather at lower speeds.


This mainly is caused by transmission fluid level changes. Measure it when its at running temperature and in park. Add if necessary (most likely the cause)

not sure what you mean here ,but i think if this is an auto then these bolts hold the drive plate to the torque converter

possible cracked head thou rare. Isolate the return line and pressureise coolant up to the cap rateing and look at any discharge from the return line. You have a unique issue... is the filler neck completely sealed. Do you have any enemies with access to your vehicle? Just kidding... good luck...

Why woulod oil come out of my exaust pipe? 1996 ford taurus


Either your valve seals are bad or you piston rings are wore out. I would say it is the valve seals though.
