Question about 2007 Hyundai Accent GS Hatchback

1 Answer

No reply or support from customer carewith urgent complain!!!!

Urgent, PLEASE!
Bought Accent 1.6 a year ago, when took it for 15`000 k`s service last month in Klerksdorp at the Agent, I report the complaint about the front tires which is IMPOSSIBLE to be in this state after 15`000 k`s AND about the spare tire which is a bigger size than all the others. In the first place the Agent`s guy from the workshop, namely Steven, was not helpfull AT ALL. Told me that I can try at the cust care no which he gave to me, but he can ASSURE me that Huyndai WILL NOT accommodate me with this problem!??? Since then I phoned several times customer care, struggling to be assisted and got a lot of promises that SOMEONE will contact me and be off assistance in Afrikaans. In the mean time the problem gets worst by the day as the tires are in a VERY BAD condition. This is just a short summary of the story. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET HELP FROM A COMPANY WHICH PRODUCT I BOUGHT BECAUSE I`VE BEEN DRIVING HUYNDAI FOR 15 YEARS NOW and thought that I will stick to this product, but honestly starting to have doubts about that???
My name is Magdel du Plessis from Klerksdorp, North West.

You have to find what causes front tire early wear. Tire Quality or front wheel misalignment.
First check your front wheel alignment and correct if necessary.

Warranty Duration
Each manufacturer specifies the duration of their tires' limited warranty in months or years from the date of purchase. Therefore, tire warranties begin at the time of delivery for new vehicles, and at the time of purchase for replacement tires. Consequently a new vehicle's registration certificate or the replacement tire's sales invoice will establish proof of ownership and the tire's in-service date. If no proof of purchase is available, the week and year the tire was manufactured (as identified by the DOT tire identification code branded on the sidewall) will be used.
Tire warranties also expire when the tire's original tread is worn down to 2/32nds of an inch (1.6 mm) of remaining tread at which time the tread blocks are worn flush with the treadwear indicator bars.

USA answers, always.
and 60k is most cars. (most cars they like to die at 100k miles)
and is not possible by any human to answer EOL , end of life.

that depends if its Honda belt, or Gates or some china carp
sold off fleabay.
and air temp, where you live, Climate, Pheonix. or Canada?

ok it seems this belt is the first ever to be changed out. Gates is the best.
my online links shows 5 engine options, 1.6L to 3L.
that begs the question #1 is my engine interference type,
if you go to the GATES (tm) ecatalog, you can see if it is or not. using engine type. option as your selection.
i pulled up the maintenance tab and it states, 105K miles.
but may vary by engine, and for sure if belt is 2nd time.
look up this info carefully.
and can vary with cars driven extensively in stop and go traffic.
hot , and long engine hours, but low miles.
i see no chain, on the 5 engines, alldata shows 5 belts.

105,000 miles best case USA.
168,000 meters 168K meters

urgent.? 2.3L is interference 105/60k (60k miles severe usage)
3L?
i look at Gates and bingo Interference.
so URGENT.
is it urgent.
easy answer?, if it looks bad, it is. get it out of there.
cracks, fraying, distortions of any kind.
only reality counts. (yours)

navigates. is the ecat.

if really paranoid, get a real Honda belt... 105k miles is magic.

URGENT problem with new hyundai I bought last year

hello,
1st) what type of tires do you have on (what make, model ande messure)? I know they came with the car but it sounds more like a problem to be dealed with the tyre manufacturer...
2) what do you use the tires for? do you just drive in the street with them to go to work/school or do you race/autocross with them.? my car has 13000 km and I'm on my 4th set of tires because of autocross. They just won't hold long if you use them like that.
3) please look at your tires and search fot the treadwear, it's a number between 0 and.....400 or so,
regular tires should have about 380 treadwear. the higher the number the more they will last, because the compound is harder, but they won't have good grip. the lower the treadwear the better grip you have and the safer it is to race/drive BUT they won't last for long. the tires my hyundai had when I bought him where some kuhmo kh15 with treadwear 380. regular tires....
please answer to be able to give you some more advice...
you can also write me an email bchris9000@hotmail.com
