Question about 2001 Chevrolet Malibu
Car shifts (clunks) into reverse and drive.
Diagnotic code P0113 states intake air temp cicuit high input
I don't understand what that means.
Had this problem about 2 weeks ago. Moved some wires back and
forth under the hood and it was ok, but now it's back and moving the
wires didn't help this time.
Thanks in advance or your help
Code p0113 means: IAT sensor high temp
and the solution:
The Intake air temp sensor is located inside the air flow meter and uses yellow and black wire and the black wire. IAT sensor circuit code P0113 indicating excessively high voltage or (Open Circuit) the ECM is either not seeing the correct voltages at terminals 66 and 80 under the dash at the ecm. It could be as simple as a broken wire under the insulation right at the air flow meter, Or a little worse a bad air flow meter. There are cheeper remanufactured Aair flow meters available at Nissan for your car around $150 instead of $400 like they used to be new.
