CD stuck in CD player. Cassette and radio works good. But CD stuck.

When I bought my 2001 Mazda ES a CD was stuck in the player and won't come out. The cassette player works (but who has cassettes any more??) and the radio works good. Also the LED light only shows part of the numbers occasionally. Not always. What can I do?

cassette player keeps ejecting cassettes after they are inserted. The radio and CD player work fine. Can this be fixed easily?

This symptom is often a sign the player is nearing its end of useful life. But, sometimes it is merely due to a collection of dust, dirt or a foreign object lodged in the mechanism. Sometimes it is a logic error inside the electronic memories.

So, there are a number of possibilities.

Here is what I would do:

ONE: Do NOT force it or use tools to pull the disc out.
TWO: If you can find the wires that supply the 12 volts to the unit, pull that wire so there is no power to the unit whatsoever for at least 30 seconds. That will reset the electronics inside the player.
THREE: IF you cannot find the wires, or if they are too hard to get to, you can pull the plus cable off the battery; raise the hood and with a wrench loosen the bolt holding the plus cable onto the battery terminal. Pull it off for at least 30 seconds or longer, then put it back on. This will perform a hard reset as in TWO.
FOUR: If still no removal try this technique:

If it is not an expensive unit you may find it a superior investment to purchase a new player rather than pay a tech to repair it. (In the worst case the unit must be pulled, cover removed and disc manually removed; then you may find out there are damages or defective circuits awaiting further repairs; probably looking at a charge of $75 or more if you go to a service shop).

Let's hope the ideas above kick it out and it returns to normal useage.

How do i replace radio cassette player with a cd player mazda 6 2002

Don't replace it. Go to Walmart and buy an adapter. It is usally at the check out somewhere and It cost about $5.00. It has a cassette that goes into the cassette player. Then you plug your ipod or whatever into the attached wire. Doesn't look cool but it works and it is inexpensive. The adapters with the cd player attached skip (we had one 20 years ago) so just buy the new kind of adapter for less and play all your up to date gadgets. Put your cd songs on your ipod or iphone. Our son uses one in his truck with his little ipod shuffle. No cd player needed.

Cds are stuck in player and wont unload

If power still to CD Player & Radio, the disc may just be stuck into unit. If it won't eject, after many tries, you need to get unit seen to by In Car Installer / Repair. If no power to unit, try fuse box,

CD player and cassette player does not work but radio does.

This sounds like the rubber belt inside the radio broke. it can be repaired but i think its cheaper to just get a used radio or aftermarket.

2001 Ford Taurus Radio doesn't work but CD player does!

Does your car have an automatic raising and lowering antenna? If it does check your fuses for it. If not pull your radio out of the dash, and check to make sure that the antenna wire has not become lose or unplugged from the back.

Cd player

The CD input slot is not hidden. You should be able to see it, BUT, if a CD is stuck in the player, there is a "door" that closes and will not let you put a CD in. If so, the radio must be removed, and the CD extracted.
