same problem here. I removed the battery cable before installing a water pump on my 01 dakota. now the lights on the bass & treble buttons just blink. called the dealer & they said it reprograms itself after power has been diconnected. if it doesnt do it soon after power reconnection then they say i need to go to dealer so they can hook it up to a computer to reprogram it manually. so what i gather is it will cost around 100 dollars to get a radio reprogrammed. might as well go buy a new one?

Are you sure the head light switch is not the problem?

I have a 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan and the radio will work as long as you disconnect the battery and reconnet it but if you are shutting off the ignition it will not work again or sometimes if you hit the base and treble buttons or the disc switch it will malfunction. I checked the voltage at the battery and it is over 12 but the battery wire to the radio is 11.87 and the ignition is around 11. 89 volts. What is wrong? I am sure it is a simple solution and does not need a reprogramming.

2001 dodge stratus air conditioning compressor failed bearings gone can i bypass system with a different belt

you can but it is a lot of work. many pulley changes bracket changes. you have to find the same engine that does not have AC and take all needed parts off of that. it is not worth it. consider just going to a salvage yard and getting a used compressor. it doesnt even have to work, it just has to have good bearings. it would be a lot less work going this route. any questions, reply back

1992 Dodge spirit radio quit working and fuse is good. The clock on the radio still works

If the clock works and it keeps the right time, you'll need to replace the radio. Try a salvage yard. They should have a lot of them.

Radio wont work lights just blink on it....

I had the same problem. The only thing that worked was the three blinking lights on the graphic equilizer. I just bought another radio at a salvage yard for $35. I guess this is a common problem on these vans.

2001 dodge stratus radio

I researched and found I needed to reseat or replace the IOD fuse. In my Dakota this is labled "Interior Lights". By pulling this fuse it allowed the radio to reset and everything came back. Hope it works !

2001 Dodge Stratus Transmission Problem

COULD BE LOSS OF ALL TRASMISSION FLUID, BROKEN HOSE, BLOWN PUMP,BURNT TRANSMISSION RINGS( HOW DID THE TRANNY OIL SMELL?) BURNT TRANNY FLUID OR A COMBINATION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE. IF IT JUST QUIT, YOU PROBABLY HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT WILL REQUIRE A REBUILD OR A SALVAGE TRANSMISSION FROM A LOCAL WRECKING YARD. THE LATTER BEING THE CHEAPEST AND AT TIMES THE BETTER DEAL ALL AROUND, TIME WISE AND MONEY. VERSUS A REBUILD THAT REQUIRES NEW PARTS, BANDS, PUMP, SEALS AND ON AND ON PLUS HOURS OF LABOR TO FIX EQUALS ONE BIG BIG BILL!BEING A 2001 A TRANNY FROM A WRECKING YARD ISN'T GOING TO HAVE THAT MANY MILES ON IT EITHER SO YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND SOME PRETTY DECENT ONES. THAT'S THE ROUTE I'D GO, BUT YOU'RE FREE TO CHOOSE EITHER CHOICE. I DON'T ENDORSE OR CONDEMN EITHER ONE, JUST POINT OUT THE GOOG AND THE WEAK IN EACH FOR YOU TO DECIDE! GOOD LUCK!
