No that I have looked at, Please read the question.
The cars original wiring runs along the left side I guess under the doors I wish to run the new harness with the original, I need to know how to access these areas.
(1)_from the rear left wheel arch to the dash board
(2)From the centre dashboard to the switches above the rear view mirror

No that is not thw answer to the question
Please read the question properly before answering
I am wanting to know how to access the channel to the main wiring loom friom the fear left wheel arch which contains (TV tuner,CD changer and the Navigation DVD)
I wish to install a new extra wiring loom to the front centre dash board and then up to the (control switching for sun roof and interior lights)
This loom is to enable a blue tooth system to be fitted, I do not need the blue tooth instruction, but I require detailed instruction to access the channel of the original wiring so as I can install the new wiring in the same channel

The dashboard is easy to take off, there are screws on the bottom underneath the dash holding it on and at the top are clips that should pop off and if you are careful, they won't break. It should come off from the driver side to the passenger side. The overhead console should also have some basic screws holding it up, they should be able to be removed and then you should be able to slide the wire above the ceiling carpet, you may want to use a small metal rod to help push it. To get to the wiring at the floor, the interior side panels can be unscrewed, the screws may have plastic tabs covering them that you can pop off, you should then be able to lift the carpet at the edges if any wires run below it or if you want to run the wires below it. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be glad to help
Comment by bestdarngood, posted on Jun 27, 2008May I also add the wires running to the overhead can be run down the side of the car by the front of the door under the plastic strip next to the windshield. Let me know if you have any other questions with this

The easiest way of doing this is running the wiring from the trunk under the carpet to the dash, the from the dash to the center top under the panel on the windshield post, left of the driver, to and under the head liner over to the center.

I couldn't find an on line service manual for this model. I did find wiring diagrams that might tell you where and how to get to the harness. the link is below. If it doesn't help, I suggest buying a service manual, it will show you exactly how to access the harness, and you will have it for future reference for other problem that may occur.

I have a BMW 318i SE saloon. The car feels like

wet cu
the ecu compartment is under the windshield on the passenger side on E36

you gain acess to it under the hood....
this compartment gets wet, the ecu lays on a flat surface in that
compartment.

the bottom side of the circuit board gets wet and starts corrosion.

remove the ecu, take the bottom plate off, clean the bottom of the circuit
board with alcohol and a soft tooth brush.

you should be able to see the signs of corrosion or conductive build up.

this gunk bridges solder points doing all sort s of wierd things to your
car, including false sensor readings from asc/abs controllers and other
sensors....

all the way to engine failure and worst case burnt and shorted wiring
harness.

I'm on my 3rd ecu, took me and the repair boys a few years to figure this
one out.

BTW: i would get that ecu mounted above that flat surface, use some sort
of standoff to raise it so that it is not laying in the wet.

I have recently added a Bluetooth ULF module to my car, every thing works except sound. I purchased the system from bimmernav.com, they supplied the old to new harness to connect from the original harness...

Hello Richard, when the ulf module was installed, was the jumper plug installed in the blue 26 pin connector in the left rear corner near the GPS unit. I think that if this plug is missing, you will not get any sound for the interface. This plug is required for vehicles with nav. I think it is called the Voice Input jumper plug.

BMW Fused Bulb Warning Light comes on intermittently

This sounds as though this could be either a wiring fault usually found to be a broken wire in the boot lid loom. by the right hand hinge you will find a corrugated rubber hose that houses the loom, you will need to check the wires inside this. also check for corrosion on the ten pin terminal block on the back of the light unit.
