1998 Buick Century Signal Issue

The right turn signal flashes rapidly even after I have replaced all of the bulbs; front turn signal, rear turn signal and side marker. Even the hazards work without issue. Is there a turn signal flasher unit in the 98 Century that needs to be replaced? If so where is it located?

I have checked the connections and they are free of dirt/corrosion. Does anyone know the location of the flasher in a 98 Buick Century?

I had the same problem with my 1998 buick century.Use some electric contac cleaner and Die-electric grease on the base of the bulbs. The wagner amber bulbs would not work so I put some G.E. 4157nall amber bulbs.I:ve had them in for 2 months now no problem.

Remove the bulbs one at a time and check for dirt and corrosion at the contacs inside the sockets. The corrosion will cause higher than normal resistence and will make the signal to flash rapidly. As this only happens to the right side only check the right side.

On my grandmother's '98 Buick Century, the right front signal stopped working. Rear right signal blinking fast. I have replaced the front amber bulb and socket and still have same issue.

Could be a wiring problem, or the turn signal switch.
You could check the wiring with a meter, and also by using the emergency flashers. Those use a different circuit from the turn signals on most cars. If the light works using the 4-way flashers, the problem is probably the turn signal switch.
You need to know if the socket has power and ground when the lamp should be flashing.

I have sourced out all fuses and bulbs, yet continue to have a rapid right turn signal. I don't know where else to look. help?

replace the right rear bulb. the quick flashing indicates a bad bulb. it could be a wiring problem to the rear for the signal light that you will have to check out starting at the socket and working forward.

Fast flashing turn signals

I would change out the turn signal bulb on the right front. A blown bulb can cause the fast flash issue. The signals staying on is not related to the bulb being blown. That is most likely a problem with the multifunction switch, the knob you use to signal.

My right turn signal flashes rapidly, and after turning it suppose to turn off itself but i have to turn off the signal manually. the left sometimes turn off itself.. how can i fix this? 98 buick century

when signal is rapid it useually means that a light is out. About your signal not turning it self off.
That is a defective indicator switch which useually means removal of steering wheel.

I have a 1998 Buick Century, and the right turn signal in the front stopped working suddenly. The turn signal on the right in the back flashes very fast, but nothing flashes in the front. The turn signals...

The bulb in front is somehow not getting voltage. If memory serves, that headlight assy. has a circuit board of some type, and your problem most likely lies there.

Turn signals flashing rapidly

This fast flash is caused by a burnt out bulb in the front or rear.
