Question about 1997 Dodge Intrepid
My dipstick is stuck inside the tube how can i get it out i bought a replacement but the only way i see to get the old one out is to drop the oil pan and push the dipstick out but i don't want to drop the oil pan if the dipstick dosen't reach the oil pan
Had the same problem last year - the plastic handle broke off and the
top of the remaining plastic was visible down the tube but was stuck
solid. Finally used an easy-out to get it out. Drilled a small hole
into the plastic and then threaded a thin easy-out bit into the hole
and it held enough for me to pull the dipstick out. Stupid design, a
plastic handle on a metal dipstick!
Here in Canada the Intrepid is badged as a Chrysler. Sounds a bit dodgey to me :-)
