My engine light will not turn off, but the truck is running fine
I bought the truck new in 2002 and haven't had any problems with it. Before we took it to Florida at the beginning of this year, the light was on and I couldn't find a solution. Just before we took it to Florida, the light went off so I thought the problem resolved itself or whatever. Now the light is back on and has stayed on. I've noticed no change in the speedo, temp, rpm; anything. I hooked it up to a reader and it said something with the injectors? would could this be?

I have the same problem. But my check engine light comes on when this occurs. The car runs fine otherwise. The problem manifests when it's hot out and I've been driving for a while with the A/C on. When I stop somewhere (like the supermarket), shop, and get back in my car. It starts fine but when I put it in gear to go, it's extremely sluggish for a few seconds and the check engine light comes on. Then is runs fine but the check engine light remains on. The next day when I start it, the check engine light is not on. Also, I recently had the head gasket replaced. I took it back into the shop the first time the check engine light came on. The mechanic checked it and said everything checks fine. He re-set the light saying to keep an eye on it and bring it back in if the check engine light comes back on. It ran fine for 1.5 weeks and now this problem has started to occur.
Did you find anything out dwbradway? I wish I had a solution for you but I just have the same kind of problem. Any help would be appreciated!
my car was doing the same every time it trying to start about 10 times it would start. mechanic changed starter and it didnt make a difference had battery and alternator checked they were fine. mechanic unplugged wires and fuses in box and blew them out and i haven had a problem with it since. everytime it was giving me trouble the clock reset
I think you mean the code is engine speed sensor. This is caused by a crank sensor on it's way out. I would have the code double checked by a professional, and have the repairs done to correct this. Cause if it's what I think it is, a crank sensor will leave you stuck.
tell me everyrthing the car does.tell me what sensor light you referring to when you say car shudder.sound like transmission torque converter problems torque converter makes shudder noises.how does it shift does it shift hard or ****.it could be speed sensor it causes transmission problems.
