Next time it won't start after two hours, push your gas pedal all the way to the floor and see if it starts. If it starts, it could be a fuel injector or fuel pressure regulator issue.
The first thing you need done is to have the electronic engine control module scanned for codes, this is called a OBD 1 fault code test. It takes a special scan took so a shop or dealer will need to perform the test.
Trail Blazer has a very cool 'plastic' intake on the Vortex series. I would have the intake checked out, or just replace it with a new one. Don't reccomend a used one since it was a common problem.

sounds like a crank sensor went bad.sometimes in early stages they are intermittent then they finally go bad and car wont run. look into that. as far as the key switch it could be orn out or your key could have a small nick on it
this can be caused by a bad fuel filter or dirty injectors. try a bottle of fuel injector or fuel system cleaner in a tank of gas. i suggest lucas products which can be found at any parts store.
