U have to take the hub off. and press the wheel bearing out. it takes alittle time to do bc u have to take your rotor and brake assembly off to get to the hub.

1998 Ford Ranger XLT 3.0 automatic transmission AC repair and replace front driver side wheel bearing after two months they start to howl again and I don't know why please help

Let's separate the two things.

If the wheel bearing goes bad after 2 months, either it was defective, or it wasn't properly lubricated before installation.

If the transmission isn't working properly after 2 months, then that wasn't done properly, and needs to be fixed properly. If you did it, that may be a problem. If a transmission shop did it, it should be fixed under warranty.

2006 escape AWD, replace front hub bearing

Rather than just the bearing, I suggest a new half shaft as the bearings and ABS tone wheel are already assembled. These Escapes are notorious for cracking the tone wheel setting off a code and then disabling the AWD system. So for a very few dollars more than it would take to disassemble the shaft , install bearings and tone wheel just get a new one.

I getting the code P0355 on coil E. In which I changed about two times within the last 6 months. I would like to know where that specific coil is located. The coil that I changed is the front of the...

The Ford Cylinder Codes are

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,etc

also the letters match the cyl

A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H

PO355 is E or #5

Nornally #5 would be a PO305

1,2,3 are against the firewall
4,5,6, are on the radiator side

All ford cyl are from front of the actual
motor toward the rear

I would suggest extensive use of Google Chrome for
all your car issues & codes & also You Tube Video
is excellant.

I need to replace my pcv valve on 2003 ford escape 6 cyl weher is it located

look on top of each valve cover for a bent 90 degree connector with a hose attached that goes to either the air cleaner or the main vacuum tower intake connection.. this connector when removed shoud rattle a bit if not replace it it may be clogged..now some can be cleaned out with carb cleaner and reused as long as they rattle internally( means the ball is free) good luck

2005 ford escape assembly diagram for the front axle

If they are sealed bearings, you will need a press to get them out. If they are bolt in, just remove the brake pads/rotors, then the axle nut, then the bolts holding the wheel bearing in. Install in reverse order.
