There should be a place for you to insert your key to unlock the shifter or a unlock button. it should tell you in your owner hand book where it is at to unlock the shifter.

Toyota camry drove home and parked and now won't move? NO ****** ISSUES BEFORE THIS!

It will not move in Reverse either? It could be

- the shift cable has broken
- the parking lock pawl has broken
- park/neutral position switch faulty
- transmission manual valve faulty

I think one of the first 3. There isn't much you can do except have it towed to a transmission shop.

Fortunately, park is not a function of the real internal transmission workings. Even if the problem is inside the transmission, most parking mechanisms can be serviced by just removing the pan, not the entire unit.
