I have a geo metro i believe its a 1996, it says my battery has charge but its not putting a charge through the car. no radio no ac or anything will work. it want even jump. what could this be?

If you open the car door, the production date is on a label
You have the year on your title, your registration & your insurance card
Sounds like a dead battery
You hopefully know how old that is
You could have it tested or if more than
4 years old replace it
Never jump a dead battery ,I know that is what
everyone does & it is a very unsafe practice
Check the cables are in good shape & tight
If they have those clamp on ends buy new
cables that have factory ends

1996 Geo Metro LSI 1.3L Has issues starting. It cranks but won't turn over just replaced it March 2 2013

Check your battery connections at the starter. It may not be getting the needed volts. Just make sure they're clean and tight at the starter and the battery both. Good luck!

I have a 1992 geo metro LSI convertable that is missing the triangle shaped trim piece under the driver door mirror.I am told this piece is specific to 1990-1993 geo convertables and no longer available....

they have junkyards for that. there are many people on ebay who will go out and scavenge parts for a price. tough to find a car more then 15 years old though.

search for used geo parts on ebay, find someone who has a lot of them for sale and send him a question about finding you one and how much.

or you can just get your phone book out, find the auto used parts section and call them all until you find someone with an old geo sitting in his yard that you can go look at.

O my 1992 Geo Metro, something beyond the battery and generator system causes everything to shut off and then stops the engine. After letting it set for a while and without charging the battery, it starts...

We had same problem and found wires at pos side of battery had bad fusable link. Let eng run and wiggle and slighty pull wires. Looking at engine just to the left of battery.

1992 Geo Metro LSI Automatic Intermittent start problem

Sounds like the safety switch that keeps you from starting the car when it's not in park is loose or is not making good electrical contact.
