Good morning, afternoon, evening, or night; whatever time of day you are viewing this post. By emergency blinkers, you mean your hazard lights right? Just press the button at the lower-center of your dashboard with the triangle icon. It is surrounded by the door locking and unlocking buttons.
Not sure what model vehicle you have. Look at the emergency brake pedal, and see if it is supposed to hit a switch when the pedal is released - it may be the switch it out of adjustment and needs adjusted.
Have someone watch the light while you run your finger along the entire length of the pedal to see if the light goes out when you hit the switch. This assumes the issue is mechanical.
I had the same problem, I'm not sure why this works.......but try turning on the emergency flashers. For reasons unknown, the emergency flashers should still work even if your lights do not. Now turn the flashers off and try your break lights and turn signals.
it sounds like the switch in back of emergency brake is bad or out of adjustment.the switch must be grounding out to make car quit. without looking at it, I would say it is the switch.
ck the fluid reservoir under hood on driver side be windshield. the fluid level could be right at the "min" line which will turn the lite on and off at times. (which should lead to brake inspection). top off and check to see if problem goes away
