    thunking noise under car.turning and applying brakes makes the same thunk.

It cant be adjusted. You brakes are bad or something is messing up the auto adjustments. Clean the brakes and turn the drums if you can. If not clean the drums good with sand paper and wash it down well. DONT use water of course but a good brake cleaner.

PS a trick I use to tighten up my brakes is to have the drum off of one side. Push the brakes down slowly until I here a click or two and re install the drum. You dont want it too tight of course. It should spin freely. My brakes would be very good for a couple of months.

Almost any manual/standard transmission Vehicle can be "flat towed" by simply placing the gear shifter into the nuetral position and making sure the parking brake is disengaged.

1991 geo metro, no head lites no,parking no signal in the front...

check your fuses. It could possibly be the multifunction switch in the steering wheel..kinda pricey.
