I was able to replace the drivers side bulb without removing the battery. Two clips can be challenging. The first is the one holding the bulb in place. It is hard to see and reach. To release it, push is slightly in toward the bulb and then down; it easily releases this way. The secret to putting the wire snap back on is to engage the top of the wire in the hole first before sliding it back over the cover. Don't try to put the wire back over the cover and forcing the top of the wire into the hole (like I did). This won't work and causes great frustration. If you put it in the hole first and then move the wire over the cover, it is easy

How to change headlight bulb on ford mondeo

Very easy, 2 or 3 minutes.
Remove radiator grille. 2 plastic fittings on top, quarter turn and lift out grille.
Remove complete headlight. Simply lift out 2 L shape retaining pins. Disconnect lead. Ease out complete headlamp unit.
Remove back of headlamp unit to access bulbs. Disconnect lead from bulb while bulb still held by clip. Then release clip to remove bulb.
Reverse process to fit.

Hi. I have a ford mondeo 93reg mondeo. My near side head light(main beam)light will not work. I have put in a new bulb/checked the fuse and relay and they are ok,I do not have any power in the cable...

if you have a multi meter check the cable, put one end of the meter on the relay or the fuse and other end with a needle and poke the needle in the wire going along testing it at different pinpoints and see if you get a feed, the wiring can become brittle over time, also if your model has lighting control module, ie bulb out technology it can be this as it can turn off power to the light. its like canbus tests for a bulb, if this has failed it can stop power to wiring. some models were fitted with this.
