Question about 1995 Jeep Cherokee 2 Door
This sounds crazy but, I have had this Jeep for about 3 years, it is a great vehicle. For the whole time that I have owned it, it has had this problem, but now is much worse. It starts up just great, I drive maybe 4 miles down the road, turn it off. Get back in it to leave, it doesn't start, it turns over very strong, but will not fire. If I try to start it 30 minutes later, it starts up, just in the last couple days, it starts up, then as I am going down the road, it will just shut off and will not start back unless I let it set for approx. 30 minutes. Two weeks ago when it left me stranded in town, I had it towed to a mechanic, he replaced the fuel pump, and the relay in the fuse box under the hood and assured me that was the problem, maybe three days later, it did the same thing. I just don't know what the problem is, please help. I can go out and start it right now, but after I drive it a short distance, it will not start back.
When a cherokee have trouble starting i always go to the crank sensor first it on top of trasmission you crank the motor on the fly wheel you have accumulation of rust and before the crank sensor notice the engine turning it take a long time me i remove the crank sen sor visualy check if it crank i change it and i used some abrasiv sand paper or something like that i ask somebody to crank the engine i put the sand paper in the hole of crank sensor when the engine turn sand paper clean the flyweel be carefull for our finger after install the sensor and try it out good luck pierre

Have you changed the battery as the alternator works in conjunction with it. Also go buy a cheap multimeter and with battery in and charge check what fuses are drawing power when off. I would think it is power locks, and aftermarket stereo or power antenna.
