Check engine light flash code: 12 ,is Battery power to PCM was disconnected This should not be a problem if batt.was replaced or temp. disconnected.
21 is Oxygen sensor input voltage maintained above the normal operating range
34 is in the speed control solenoid circuits./an open or shorted condition detected in the speed control vacum or vent solenoid circuits.
If you are going to atempt do the repairs yourself i sugest purchassing a repair manual for your jeep and go through the steps to dignose these problems in order to repair or replace the componet. all these seem simple enough with a little common knowledge. good luck

Check engine light is on

When the check engine light is flashing it means that the computer has detected a misfire in the engine. It is not good to drive a vehicle that has a flashing check engine light; one or more sensor in your vehicle is advise about an code fault. I suggest scanning for know what code is in there and solve it.

In some vehicles, a red check-engine light means the car needs absolute immediate attention while a yellow check-engine light means you need to make an appointment soon. The light is used to indicate PCM (Powertrain Control Module) problems that are associated with your vehicle's emissions system.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

My 2006 silverado 2500, 6.0 engine shows a code for bad o2 sensors, put 2 new ones in, check engine light still one, the code never goes away even after it is reset with the engine off. whats up with...

You have to reset the check engine light. It will erase all the bad codes that you have fixed. To do this, you have to remove the positive battery cable for a minute or so and reconnect. It should clear the check engine light..

2006 trailblazer i6 engine has the trouble code Po601 does anyone know what it means? .. i think its the P.C.M. but im not sure. thanks

It's a very strange code. It shows up in the generic "all manufacturer" code list as "P0601 Internal Control Module Memory Check Sum Error"
Here's a complete list and you can see the GM specific codes on that site as well.

Check engine lite on

I would definately take it back to the dealer and tell them they have not fixed the problem. The Dealer will hook the car up to the ODB II tester to get the codes from your cars computer as to what the computer thinks the problem is. Typically there is more than one oxygen sensor on the exahust system and the dealer ship may have replaced one and need to replace both - or they may have replaced one that was not faulty.

IF the check engine light went out when you left the dealer it is likely because they disconnected the battery when they worked on the car. The computer will then check a problem that shows up several times before lighting the check engine light (typically three cycles I believe - i.e. at least three consecutive starts and stops where the computer sees the same problem) so seeing the light out when it leaves the dealership does not mean they have fixed it, it merely means they have disconnected the battery. You should be well within your rights to go back and tell them they have not solved the problem and your not paying additional money for replacements of parts that didn't fix the problem.

As a check you should also take the car to a local Autozone (Car parts shop) and ask them to check the codes using the ODB II meter. At least then you can go to the dealer with the knowledge of what the computer code is and sound more knowledgable and less likely to be ripped off for poor workmanship.
