Question about 1984 Cadillac Eldorado
My daughter has been told that it is going to take 3000 dollars to replace the flywheel in her 84 eldorado because they need to lift the motor. Is this true. The part was cheap but we don't know who to trust to fix it.
Yes obviously they will need to lift the motor because the flywheel is smack-dab in between the torque converte and motor, could actually do it yourself with the right tools ( Engine hoist, air compressor , air tools, and sockets, and or course torque wrenches to properly mount the flywheel back to manufacturer specs) but I do believe 3 Grand is way higher then your average shop. Look for shops with Mexicans they have O.K. service for a good price. Reasonable price is in between $700 and $1200 GOOD LUCK!!
