I'm not real sure about radios, but some of the newer radios have a tool you use to just take the radio out. does it have 2 little hole on each side of the radio? if it does you have to get a special tool to stick in the holes then it comes out, hope it helps, i'm just a hands on guy

How do I replace the blower switch in the dash without breaking up the dash

Are you sure that you need a blower switch? There are other items that are prone to going out before the switch like the resistor or the motor, but if it is the switch you first remove the large piece of trim that surrounds the radio, heater controls, and instrument cluster. This will reveal the screws that hold the heater control head into the dash.

Volume on honda civic radio not working

atxhonda is right. Your going to have to replace the stereo and an aft mkt stereo will be the cheapest by far, however you should know that 96-00 Civics keyless entry control unit is inside the factory unit and by replacing it with an aftermarket deck you will lose you factory keyless entry system. If you don't have or use honda factory keyless entry or maybe you have an aft mkt keyless entry installed than I would go with the aft mkt deck.
