Question about 2000 Ford Focus
Hi i had a clutch fitted to my v reg tddi ghia focus , picked the car up drove 9 ml down m6 no trouble till traffic light where the brakes failed. took car straighgt back to garage left it over night went to see what was wrong was told prob but not sure that the fuel pump had gone would cost in the region of 600 to buy a new one. would this just happen? seems strange after just getting the car from garage. he said it had run that morning no bother he had put fuel in as it was low then when started again done 10 metres and engine cut out . could he have filled it with petrol the abs light was not on when i left he said the light came on when he took it to test. please help.
Not sure if the focus is the same arrangement as a mondeo2. On mondeo the clutch master cyl gets the fluid from the brake master cyl. So if there is a leak in the clutch system it could empty the brake master cylinder.
Did u check to see if there was any brake fluid in the brake master cylinder ?
